Building inspections: stages and scheduling

Building inspections are the visits a city inspector makes during a permitted project to check the work against the code before it is covered. This is different from a home inspection for a sale, which is a private service. Typical stages are footing or foundation, framing, rough-in for electrical, plumbing and mechanical, insulation, and final.
